What can I expect?

When You Arrive…

When you walk in the main entrance, you will enter the welcome center where the fountain is located. A greeter will be there to welcome and assist you and your family.

If you have an infant or toddler, your greeter will help you find the nursery check-in desk where your children will be welcomed and where you’ll receive a silent pager for those “need mommy moments.” There’s a video feed from every room at the nursery check-in desk, so you can discretely check in to see how your children are doing.

If you have grade-school children, your greeter will show you where the Sprouts (K – 1st grade) and Greenhouse (2nd – 5th grade) classes meet.  Children in Sprouts and Greenhouse will join the adults in the sanctuary for singing with the praise band at 10:00am, and are then dismissed to their classes around 10:20am before Pastor Nick’s sermon.  (You are welcome to escort them back to their classes at this time until they are comfortable going on their own!)

Once the children know where their classes are, come back to the welcome center for a cup of coffee, relax, and enter the worship center through the doors on either side of the fountain. If your teens have come with you, bring them to the worship service, where they can meet some of our very cool youth workers.

What To Expect From Our Worship Gathering…

We begin our Worship Gathering on Sundays with a time of singing in worship with our praise band.  The musical style is generally a blend of contemporary Christian music, praise songs, and hymns with lyrics displayed on overhead screens.

The sermon usually lasts about an hour.  You’ll find it to be prayer-fueled, Gospel-centered, and Bible-driven.  CBC values passionate expository Bible teaching/preaching, and we generally study through one book of the Bible week by week.  Occasionally, Pastor Nick will teach on something topical as the Holy Spirit leads.

Our primary speaker is Nick Brown, who does the great majority of the teaching/preaching.  However, here and there, you will hear from the other guest speakers, missionaries, ministry leaders, our CBC elders, and other pastors as well. We believe it’s healthy for the church body to receive teaching from all the elder/pastors.

After the worship service, feel free to hang around and give us a chance to get to know you. You will find us to be a church that is eager to make relational connections!
