sermon: The Beginning of the End

 

 When Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn,” was He advocating that saints become sad-sacks and party poopers? He clearly taught that those who are sad now will be comforted later. And, those who are happy now will mourn later. What is He talking about? And how does this square with the coming of the end? Revelation 14 has the answer!

When people describe a church, they often think of a specific time and place (Sunday morning at a building with a big meeting room).  We say take away the building and our "big event" on Sunday mornings and see what's left!  If you see people who are being changed, people whose relationship with Jesus is turning them into something new and good, then you're looking at the church.
